Join Baker Tilly for a session addressing the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and the changes it brings to the business landscape; the latest financial reporting developments in the SEC and PCAOB; and state and local tax developments. We will cover key topics such as identifying the key provisions of the Budget Reconciliation Bill and how the changes will impact business operations and tax planning, updates in accounting standards, and Texas focused tax updates to be aware of. By equipping attendees with the knowledge of these critical updates, we aim to help businesses navigate the evolving tax and accounting landscape effectively, ensuring they are well-prepared for any changes that may come their way.

Speakers: 


Mark Zilberman, Principal, Baker Tilly, Houston Energy Practice Leader

Mark has 25 years of experience in financial statement audits. His experience includes audits of mid-size public and private enterprises in the oil and gas upstream (exploration and production), oilfield service, construction, and manufacturing and distribution industries. He had also provided audit services to large public and private enterprises during his time as a Senior Manager at a big four firm.


John LaBorde, Managing Director, Baker Tilly

John has over 30 years of experience in state and local tax, primarily in public accounting. His areas of expertise include state income and franchise tax and sales and use tax. He also has experience with credits and incentives and property tax. 


David Pincus, Director, Baker Tilly

David has practiced public accounting since 1981. He primarily serves public and private clients in the oilfield service sector, including those with drilling, manufacturing and distribution, and engineering operations. David also has experience serving private equity groups and portfolio companies as well as privately held and middle-market technology companies.

Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served. 

1.5 hours of CPE will be offered for this session.
